Venus Today, News and Information about the Planet Venus
Yesterday a Soyuz Fregat rocket launched Venus Express on its five month journey to Venus. This is a mission I'm excited about. While we've sent many probes to the second planet from the sun, never before have we had a spacecraft with this capability orbit the planet. Venus Express is almost the twin sister to the Mars Express orbiter which is now doing a great job sending back data from Mars.

You can keep up to date with the mission by heading over to Venus Today a new web site we launched yesterday, the 16th web site in the SpaceRef network of sites.

And here's a heads up. We plan on launching another 2 sites in the coming months to bring to 18 the number of web sites in the SpaceRef network. More details in a while.
